This aluminum housing from Delock is used to install a 2.5″ SATA hard drive or SSD. Despite the slim design, hard drives up to a height of 9.5 mm can be installed. Thanks to the VIA chipset, this hard drive enclosure supports SuperSpeed ​​USB with up to 10 Gbps transfer speed. This means that the full SATA 6 Gb/s transfer rate of the hard drive can be used. The external housing is connected to a PC or notebook via a USB Type-C socket installed on the housing. The included USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable allows connection to a free USB Type-A socket. Of course, the housing can also be connected to a free USB Type-C socket or a free Thunderbolt port using an optional USB Type-C cable.
