This aluminum housing from Delock is used to install a 2.5″ SATA hard drive or SSD. Despite the slim design, hard drives up to a height of 9.5 mm can be installed. Thanks to the VIA chipset, this hard drive enclosure supports SuperSpeed USB with up to 10 Gbps transfer speed. This means that the full SATA 6 Gb/s transfer rate of the hard drive can be used. The external housing is connected to a PC or notebook via a USB Type-C socket installed on the housing. The included USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable allows connection to a free USB Type-A socket. Of course, the housing can also be connected to a free USB Type-C socket or a free Thunderbolt port using an optional USB Type-C cable.
